| Hebrews 3:3 (ESV) For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses–as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honour than the house itself. We have been preaching through Hebrews in our Sunday services and learning how the beginning of this book points to Jesus being the greatest. He is greater than all who went before and all who come after. He is above and over everyone and everything. This reminder has challenged us all to examine ourselves – Who are we really listening to? What or who are we serving? Are we seeing Jesus rightly? Who or what gets the glory in our lives. Our monthly service at the care home in town has been going well. The residents enjoy the team coming in for worship songs, prayer and a gospel message. It’s encouraging to see how the Lord works with believers who know the words to the songs by heart. We know God can work in every situation and we are praying He brings salvation for the residents and staff who aren’t believers through hearing the gospel preached in a clear and concise way. One of our interns was able to give the Gospel message this month, putting into practice what he has learned in Ragged and through his discipleship here. |

The Kid’s Club has moved to Monday’s and we now run it every week. The kids come straight up to us from school for a couple of hours of games, stories and craft. We’ve seen new kids come along and most of the new ones have never been to a church or church event before. Having these new ones join us has been interesting seeing them engage – or not – with the Bible story each week. The club leaders, which are made up of staff and church members, have navigated this well so far with fun illustrations and questions to make them all think. |

Youth BoxFit has begun on Thursday afternoons. We have 4 who are coming regularly with hopes that more will come as they get to hear more about it. We started this ministry expecting it to take a while to build momentum and know this will build by word of mouth. It’s been encouraging seeing how they are learning skills and techniques and are already willing to chat about faith. 2 of the lads are brothers and their mum has been in touch about the whole family coming to church in October. |

Mez and Miriam have been to America and returned safely. It was a busy time there, speaking at conferences and churches. There was also a short time of rest and relaxation with family and friends. For Mez it’s a brief time at home before he is off to Edinburgh in preparation for the 20 Schemes October Weekender conference. As well as meetings and interviews he is speaking at one of the sessions. The rest of the team will follow him down a few days later and Cee will be speaking at the woman’s conference on the Friday. |
